For this project, I was asked to visually represent the concept of time.

I chose to explore time through personal loss. The image centres around a tattoo on my forearm dedicated to my brother, The tattoo represents permanence how certain moments and people are marked on us forever.

In contrast, the sand falling through my fingers symbolises the fragile and uncontrollable nature of time. No matter how tightly we try to hold on, it continues to move. The act of the sand slipping away reflects the feeling of trying to hold onto someone who is no longer physically here.

Through this image, I wanted to show that while time moves forward, emotionally it can feel frozen. Grief changes your relationship with time moments feel both distant and immediate at once.
