🙄 Are we really surprised by this? 🙄

We need a government that works for British people and prioritises our families prosperity and future prospects above those trying to scam our country for benefits, housing, and additional freebies.

Enough is enough.

All illegal migrants that break into the country should be deported and Reform UK will do just that under Zia Yusuf’s operation justice proposal.

🩵 Reform UK National Conference 26 🩵

Just reflecting on what was a fantastic national conference down in Birmingham.

Reform UK really is a family, it was nice to see so many familiar faces that I’ve met on my travels, whether it be at branch events, fundraisers or by-elections. There were also plenty of new faces, whom it has been a pleasure to meet.

It was amazing to hear from National Rally President Jordan Bardella, who professed his vision for a united front between the U.K. and France to finally end illegal migration, just before signing a MOU with Nigel Farage to stop the boats should both parties be elected.

There were also positive keynote speeches from leader Nigel Farage, Robert Jenrick (who has announced in the first 100 days of a Reform Government, that the personal allowance will be raised to £15,000), Richard Tice, Zia Yusuf and who can forget our very own chairman Lee Anderson.

There was also an emotional tribute to Ann Widdecombe to begin conference. What an inspirational, conviction politician Ann was and her legacy will not be forgotten.

Conference has also been a great opportunity to speak to business and charity groups regarding regeneration, some of whom will be looking to work with us in Wakefield and within South Elmsall and South Kirkby.

This movement has only just begun. We won’t stop until we achieve our aim of winning a general election and bringing back hope and prosperity to our great country.

Conference, until next time.

🎤 Reform UK Conference Interview 🎤

It was a pleasure to be interviewed for Jeremy Kyle by Charlie Rowley alongside Councillor Matthew Caton this lunchtime at the Reform UK conference.

I joined this party and have become a district councillor for my beloved South Elmsall and South Kirkby Ward because I believe in a better future for the next generation.

The Wakefield district area has been Labour territory ever since the fall of the Liberal party from prominence, and it was a combination of significant long term national issues alongside a tired local administration which propelled us into power.

Regardless of the noise and distractions, I am wholly committed to creating a better future for my family and all of our families in our district.

Let’s keep fighting together 🤝

🍺Talking Pints - Kirkby Welfare Club🍺

Thank you to those that came to see me at last nights “Talking Pints” session at South Kirkby Miners Welfare Club.

It was great to meet and speak to representatives from South Kirkby Colliery Cricket Club to hear about the great work they are doing to increase sporting opportunities across their women and junior sections.

It was also great to meet Jason Barker (pictured) and Kate Minett who run the RMES project and are looking to provide alternative education opportunities for those most in need within South Kirkby and the wider community.

🚨Keir Starmer to resign as an MP🚨

Keir Starmer has announced that he will step down as an MP, triggering a by-election in Holborn and St Pancras.

Keir Starmer does not leave a legacy to be proud of and our ward of South Elmsall and South Kirkby will not forget what Labour have, and are continuing to do to our country and community…

- Rising unemployment
- Higher taxes on local small businesses
- A total failure to combat illegal migration
- Chagos island surrender
- Higher food costs
- Attempted cancelling of elections
- Proposed scrapping of jury trials
- Higher energy costs
- Bond gilts at the highest level in decades
- Record welfare payments

Only a Reform UK Government will deliver the change our country needs.

Delivering for the District.

Since day 1, our Reform UK administration in Wakefield have been prioritising what matters to you.

You will have seen some very visible differences in the city centre, with the aim being to now roll this out across the district, cleaning up and regenerating our towns and villages.

Council leader Johnson and deputy leader Thomas are both strongly committed to the outskirts of the district, including South Elmsall and South Kirkby. The leadership and cabinet will continue to work for all areas of our district.

I hope you are happy with the start we have made.

This is just the beggining 💯

👷‍♂️Reform UK to Boost Apprenticeships👷‍♀️

Yesterday, Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice and shadow education, skills and equality spokesperson Suella Braverman MP announced that Reform UK are going to boost the amount of apprenticeships in the UK.

Historically, apprenticeships have played a huge part in getting young people into trades and professions. For generations, this idea worked and it meant school leavers could get that vital experience in work, whilst earning some money and learning their trade.

Over recent decades, there has been an almost snobbish attempt from Labour in particular to push school leavers to university, regardless of whether that degree is worthwhile or not. This has left a generation of university leavers saddled with 50k of debt, whilst they struggle to find work as they have no experience and the degree they have completed isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

Reform UK believes in work.

Thanks to our Labour Government, youth unemployment levels are on the rise as more and more young people struggle to make that transition from education to work.

That is why we have announced our Skills and Apprenticeships Revolution, where we will aim to have 600,000 apprenticeship starts a year by the end of the next parliament. This will include…

- Government subsidies to SME’s (30%)
- A £2000 retention bonus for employers
- A focus on practical apprenticeships (we need to train more plumbers, electricians, brickies and engineers).

Reform UK will always be on the side of workers, the side of alarm clock Britain, the side of the taxpayer.

❌ Mayfields Way Development ❌

Tomorrow sees the appeals hearing at Town Hall over the planned Persimmon housing development just off of Mayfields Way in South Kirkby.

To be clear, my two Reform UK councillor colleagues and I in our ward all strongly oppose what is a thoroughly inappropriate and inconsiderate development. I am no NIMBY, but this development has quite obviously not been thought through and we stand by our residents.

However, be under no illusion. This is going to be a tough fight thanks to the hypocrisy and compliance from our current and former local Labour representatives.

We have local Labour MP Jon Trickett who publicly opposes the development. Yet it’s his Labour Government who have mandated housing targets for local authorities, and have additionally watered down planning buffers to ram through housing developments against the will of local residents.

Then you have our ex-Labour district councillors, some of which campaigned to oppose the development pre-election. Yet they were the ones who chose this land to be reclassified from Green belt land, to being allocated for residential development before signing off the district plan.

Residents, the three Reform UK district councillors and South Kirkby and Moorthorpe Town Council are all standing together tomorrow to achieve the outcome that the community deserves.
