A Postcard from Meriden for Local and Community History Month at Meriden Library
Thursday 7 May to Monday 1 June 2026
Special Sunday opening on 17 May for the 105th National Cyclists' Memorial Service

This month, Meriden Library is inviting the village community to take a trip down memory lane and remember days gone by in Meriden, with the return of the local history exhibition, A Postcard from Meriden. The library held this exhibition in May last year for the first time, following on from similar successful exhibitions about Balsall Common at the library there. Visitors are invited to share their memories by filling in a postcard in the library to be pegged on a special ‘reminiscence washing line’. The library will also have a special opening on Sunday 17 May from 10am until 1pm, to welcome visitors to the village attending the 105th Cyclists' Memorial and Celebration of Cycling Service, which will take place at 11am around the Cyclists' Memorial on the Meriden village green.
