Over the last two days, we have attended a number of fires in gardens. One incident involved a fence fire caused by hot ashes from a bonfire the previous day.

A grass fire can quickly become a fence fire, which can become a shed fire, and then a house fire.

Think before your burn: “Do I really need to burn my waste right now?”

🚒 What an amazing day for our open day on Saturday, thank you so much to everyone who attended, we suspected it might be busy but it far exceeded all of our expectations, and as a result, unfortunately there were long queues, so we can only apologise for that, we will do our best to avoid this in the future but we hope you had a lovely day 🚒

Today is Firefighters’ Memorial Day and St Florian’s Day – the patron saint of firefighters.

Across West Midlands Fire Service, we’re remembering those who have been injured or lost their lives in the line of duty.

At 12noon, our fire stations will observe a one-minute silence. Flags will be lowered as a mark of respect.
