SHOC

Can you help our Guests stay warm this winter? ❤️

SHOC is looking for donations of:

👟 Trainers in UK sizes 8–11
🧥 Warm winter jackets

Comfortable footwear and a warm jacket can make a real difference to someone who is homeless or vulnerably housed.

If you have items to spare, we’d be grateful for donations that are clean, in good condition and ready to wear.

Please send us a message for details about donating, or email [email protected].

Thank you for your kindness. Sharing this post helps us reach more people who may be able to help.

A hot meal. A shower. Clean clothes. Someone who listens. ❤️
For someone experiencing homelessness, these everyday essentials can make a real difference.
This World Homeless Day, we’re highlighting the support available at SHOC for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Slough.
Open six days a week, our day centre offers two hot meals a day, showers, clothes washing facilities and practical, personal support. We help Guests connect with health services and other local support, so they can take their next steps with someone alongside them.
Your support helps keep this welcome available.
Visit www.sloughhomeless.org.uk to find out more and support our work, or contact [email protected] about volunteering and donating items.
Please share — help us reach someone who needs support, and someone who can give it.

Tomorrow we will once again be taking part in the Slough Town Supporters Trust End of Season Annual Walk.

This will be the 4th year that the trust have asked us to partner with them for this event which highlights the excellent partnership we are forging with the football club.

The format is similar to previous years with us meeting at the football stadium at 8.30 to leave at 9am, walking down to the Jubilee River along to Taplow Lake. Once there we have a brief break and walk the same route back, ending back at the stadium usually around 1pm. The total length of the walk is approximately 13 miles, it is a beautiful walk with most of it taking place alongside the Jubilee River.

We would welcome you taking part. It’s a fun day raising vital funds for SHOC.
