The 2nd part of the Trim Trail in Burnham Park is underway and should be ready for use in 48hrs (fingers crossed).
Adam, the Burnham Parish Council clerk, decided to have a go on the half installed before half term. We were impressed he used the highest bar!!!
BHPT are delighted to have collaborated with the council on this project and very pleased with the way it has turned out.
Soon, there will be a bench in front of the small tree dividing the trail in two, dedicated to Dr Bev Daily, who was one of the original BHPT trustees and of course, one of the villages most respected GP's.
We hope the trail will be well used by visitors to the park, both young & old!

☀️ With a heatwave expected over the coming days, please take care and look after yourselves.

Stay hydrated💧, avoid spending long periods in direct sun 🌞, and check in on elderly neighbours, friends and family members who may need extra support.

If you can, try to keep homes cool during the hottest parts of the day and remember to look after pets too 🐾

Stay safe and keep cool, Burnham 💚

☀️ High temperatures are expected over the coming days ☀️

Please take extra care by following this advice:
✅ Avoid going outside during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm)
✅ Drink plenty of water throughout the day
✅ Stay in the shade where possible
✅ Wear a hat and apply sun cream
✅ If you feel unwell, contact NHS 111 for advice

Please also check on friends, family and neighbours who may be more vulnerable in the heat.

Update on the Trim Trail Installation at Burnham Park 🌳

You may have noticed that several pieces of equipment are now installed and they’re looking great! Over the course of this week, safety matting will also be added, meaning the first half of the trail will be fully installed and safe to use by the end of the week.

Unfortunately, the second half of the trail can’t now be completed this week due to a mix of challenging weather conditions and the ground being much harder than expected, requiring additional equipment.

The installers will return to complete the remaining section, most likely in around three weeks’ time (with next week being Almost the Donkey Derby and the following week half-term). Final dates are still to be confirmed.

The good news is that the first half of the trail will absolutely be open and safely usable in the meantime.

Official signage and the formal opening will take place once the full trail has been completed.

Thanks for your patience and support while the project comes together!
