Power for People is campaigning to support the Local Electricity Bill which aims to make it feasible for community scale projects to access the energy market. The effect of this would be that the money we pay for our electricity bills could be paid to a local electricity generator, keeping 100's of thousands of pounds circulating in the local economy.

With the potential for remote conferencing, and the need to support our home tourism industry we should be shutting down these polluters, not propping them up with taxpayers' money, that would be better spent on improving rail services.
