Natureland is famous for its work rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned and injured seal pups that get washed ashore on Lincolnshire beaches. Spotted dick pupdate! 🦭

Richard is at it again, being a nosey boy! 👀 and has now graduated to the rearing pool! Not too long and he will be released back to the wild 🌊🥳

Mr Cool released 30.4.24 🌊

Mr Cool was rescued from Gibraltar Point and was dehydrated, had laboured breathing, a swollen front flipper and a wound on his head, poor boy 🤒 He was brought back to have his wounds cleaned up, started on antibiotics and given lots of fish to help his recovery 🏥🐟
Luckily, he made a quick turn around and was only with us for 2 months before it was his turn to return to the wild!
As you can see he was so ready to go and off like a rocket 🚀

I thought I could feel something watching me this morning 😂

Spotted Dick the seal pup is currently in his second phase of rehabilitation, learning to eat by himself in the water in our seal hospital pool 🐟

In about a week or so he will move to our rearing pool to fatten up before being released back to the wild!

We couldn’t do this rescue work without our incredible supporters, donators and visitors!
