In the autumn of 2018, the Local History Group erected a plaque commemorating the original site of the town’s Cenotaph. Silsden’s War Memorial is now positioned in the Memorial Gardens. It is a plain, stone column, engraved with the names of the fallen. It is graceful in its simplicity, raised up on a low plinth and modestly edged with a simple chain.

Join us, for an evening celebrating the timeless music of Diana Ross, one of pop history's most iconic artists. Performing songs including Baby Love, Chain Reaction, and I'm Coming Out, Stephanie Benson sings Diana Ross' solo hits and music from her time fronting The Supremes.

Diana Ross started performing in the 1960's as the lead singer of the vocal group the Supremes, who became Motown's most successful act during the 1960s and one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. In the 70's, she topped the Billboard Hot 100 six times, making her the female solo act with the most number-one songs in the United States at the time. Now at 82 years old, she's refusing to retire, and with her shows still selling out international venues, it's no wonder performers step out as Diana in tribute nights around the world.

Stephanie Benson takes on this icon of Motown and pop better than anyone else, with King Charles saying she is "one of the most amazing performers I've ever seen." With a voice second only to Diana herself, Stephanie presents an unforgettable tribute to one of the world's greatest artists, Diana Ross.

This is a celebration of the band that brought us Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me and Human. The Killers formed in Las Vegas in 2001. Their debut album Hot Fuss sold over five million copies worldwide and produced some of the defining rock singles of the 00's. Follow-up albums Sam's Town and Day & Age cemented their status as one of the biggest rock acts of the 21st century, with Human, Read My Mind and Spaceman all becoming global radio staples. The band have now released seven studio albums and performed to sold-out arenas and festival headline slots on every continent. Mr. Brightside now holds the record as the longest-charting single in UK chart history, having spent over 500 weeks in the Top 100.

The Haley Sisters, Jo-Ann and Becky, were born and raised in Harden, West Yorkshire. From a very early age, they followed in their parents’ footsteps, showing a strong interest in music from all genres and now play an eclectic mix of feel-good music. The Haley Sisters first appeared professionally back in 1989, when they launched themselves into a successful singing career. They have performed at The London Palladium twice, and toured with many big acts entertaining in theatres, festivals and arenas across the country. The Haley Sisters are still recognised as one of the most unique acts in their profession, and continue to entertain and perform their limitless genres of music to audiences far and wide.

This event is in aid of the Gambian Schools Trust. You’ll be helping to support the establishment and improvement of educational facilities for young children in The Gambia, whilst enjoying this concert at Silsden Town Hall. 🇬🇲

Sheffield's Arctic Monkeys formed in 2002, fronted by Alex Turner. They shot to fame with their raw debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not and have since released seven studio albums blending indie, garage rock, and psychedelia. "Come'ere There's More", Jimmy Cricket headlines Silsden Town Hall, supported by his daughter Katie Mulgrew, with resident comic Howard Walker.

Comedian Jimmy Cricket brings his trademark R & L Wellington Boots to Silsden Town Hall. Jimmy Cricket is one of the UK’s most loved Irish Comedians, having made four series for Central Television in the mid 1980's, and his own BBC Radio 2 Series in the 1990's, alongside numerous television appearances and Royal Variety Shows over the decades.

Jimmy will be supported by his daughter, Katie Mulgrew, an award-winning writer, actor and stand-up comedian. Katie Mulgrew has been heard on BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 2 and seen on CBBC and ITV2. He'll also be joined by Howard Walker, to close this year's Comedy Club series.
