Sidmouth is gearing up for an uplifting new addition to its events calendar with the launch of Sidmouth Health and Wellbeing Week, running from 12–19 September. Designed to energise, inspire and bring the community together, the week will showcase the very best of Sidmouth’s growing wellbeing scene, from movement and mindfulness to creativity and connection.

Across eight days, residents and visitors can enjoy a vibrant mix of activities taking place throughout the town. Expect Tai Chi on the lawn, soothing sound baths, hands on creative workshops, energising fitness classes, expert wellbeing talks, restorative nature walks and family friendly sessions that invite everyone to get involved. A fantastic line up of local businesses are supporting the programme, including LED Leisure, Kennaway House, Harbour Hotel, The Craft Hub, Devon Air Ambulance and The Belmont Hotel, alongside talented local instructors and therapists.

The event champions Sidmouth’s commitment to healthy living and aims to encourage people to explore new experiences, meet others and discover the wealth of wellbeing services available locally. With many sessions free or low cost, and several businesses offering exclusive events and discounts, the week has been designed to be accessible, welcoming and community focused.

Sidmouth Health and Wellbeing Week promises to shine a spotlight on the town’s flourishing wellbeing culture, celebrating creativity, mindfulness, movement and the organisations that make Sidmouth such a supportive and inspiring place to live and visit.

A quick update to say that the Regatta Grand Firework Display will be taking place on the seafront off the Esplanade at approx. 9.15pm. Come down and see the best local firework display of the year.

28/08/2026

Thank you to everyone for supporting Sidmouth Regatta Airshow today and to the pilots that did display in at times, challenging conditions. You did the town proud.

Unfortunately, the Airshow was informed by the RAF Red Arrows at 6.27pm, that the scheduled flypasts were unable to take place due to serious adverse weather conditions at RAF Mildenhall, a US airbase, which prevented the team from taking off.

We know many residents and visitors made their way into town and waited eagerly to see the Reds at the end of the Airshow and we share your disappointment that circumstances beyond anyone's control meant the flypast could not go ahead.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the other teams and the town today.

While the Regatta and Red Arrows display will proceed, as a flyby, the forecasted rain means we are unable to offer parking at Sidmouth Rugby Football Club.
