🛑 🚧 🅿️ “No loading at any time” parking markings have been painted along both sides of Conway Drive from the junction with Monkmoor Road to just past the car park to the shops. Hopefully this will reduce the parking on the road which causes problems and compromises road safety for other road users, especially pedestrians.

I am delighted to be elected for a third term as the Councillor for Monkmoor, on both Shropshire Council and Shrewsbury Town Council. The social distancing required for the verification and counting of the votes this year meant that the results were not declared until Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Thank you to all those who voted for me, and I will continue to work for all my constituents in the future, as I have for the past eight years.

APPEAL | We're appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Shrewsbury yesterday afternoon (13 Mar).

A man, in his 80s, was at the cashpoint in Monkmoor Road when he was pushed causing him to drop money he had in his hand.

The suspect picked the money up and made off.

The man was thankfully uninjured.

Please follow social distancing and face covering guidance if dropping off children at school this week so we can get pupils safely back into education and keep Covid at bay.

Parents in Shropshire are being urged to observe social distancing and wear face coverings when dropping off and collecting their children from school.

During the past year, I have made many more referrals to the Foodbank than ever, as residents face increasing hardship through job loss, furlough and the difficulty of coping on low incomes or benefits. They have provided a real lifeline to many households. If you need help, please contact me by email or phone, as being the local councillor, I am able to make referrals. Similarly, if you are able to donate to the Foodbank that would be wonderful. Most foods are welcome, and the Foodbank does also indicate which supplies they are particularly in need of at the time. Additionally, I can collect from you and drop off at Barnabus if you are unable to so so (socially distanced, of course!).
