Transforming St Mary's.
We have now finished the second phase of upgrading the lighting in the church with LED.
This latest work undertaken by RMW, has seen the older lights in the nave and into the choir, along with the Trinity chapel with LED lights, plus additional lights set within each of the aisles at their east ends.
The detail across the nave roof is amazing with the wonderful workmanship of the mid 15th century now clearer to view, along with the repairs to the roof when the top fell from the spire in 1894, causing much damage to the clerestory, and this was repaired by John Oldrid Scott, the son of George Gilbert Scott.
