Not all Parkruns can be a 300th Parkruns but they we all start somewhere!❀ A run round up from last weeks event and why not come try Haughmond Hill parkrun for yourself this Saturday?

"Well done to all our parkrunners and walkers this morning.
187 of you crossed the finish line into our new funnel.
There was a fair amount of first timers at the briefing, I hope you enjoyed it and will come back!
Apologies, I forgot the tourist shoutout in the RD brief - I was too busy trying not to forget Teresa’s 300th parkrun.
As I mentioned earlier, we have brought some new bases for our funnel but it’s made the poles look rubbish πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ as they have been bent over the last year and therefore we would love to purchase some new poles.
Which will mean the funnel can be set up super quickly and won’t fall down in the wind.
If you can donate any amount to Haughmond Hill parkrun it would be very much appreciated.
The link is here, please follow it and scroll down to β€œdonate to this event” as it goes into our pot and we can purchase the poles from it.

parkrun is free for everyone, forever.
But sometimes we need a little bit of money to make it work, so if you e enjoyed today please do considering giving something back.
Thanks

Things are finally cooling down a bit this week, but the ground and vegetation remain incredibly dry after such a long dry spell. Remember, never light a BBQ, fire, or stove in the forest. Bring your favourite picnic snacks instead, and help us keep the countryside safe πŸ€—

You may have seen the news about wildfires in the local area this week, and we're asking everyone visiting to help us protect the Forest.

Please leave your BBQs, campfires and stoves at home, and call 999 if you see a fire.

Thank you to everyone supporting the response to wildfires, especially the fire and emergency services, volunteers, partners and staff working hard on the ground πŸ’š
