⚠️ Job opportunity: Members' assistant.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused members’ (councillors) assistant to join our busy team. No two days will be the same, your work with councillors will vary from handling correspondence and signposting appropriate sources of information, to arranging training sessions and assisting the Chairman of the Council with his diary commitments.

You will also assist the democratic services team in preparing for meetings, school admission appeals, supporting the Shropshire Lieutenancy and supporting the elections process in the run-up to elections.

🚧 The A49 will be closed from Sundorne roundabout to Battlefield roundabout in Shrewsbury from Mon 22 to Sat 27 Sept (8pm to 6am) for a street lighting LED upgrade.

🚦 During the closures there will three-way temporary lights on the approaches to Sundorne roundabout, and a signed diversion will be place.

Depending on their vehicle type, road users may be able to choose an alternative diversion route.

Access/egress for properties within the closure will be maintained when safe to do so.
