Welcome to Shoreham Academy - a vibrant and thriving school.

We are an outstanding 11-18, non-selective academy where everyone - staff and students - strive to be the best that they can be. We see each child as an individual and seek to give them an education which best suits their abilities and interests. By the time they leave the academy, we want students to be confident, responsible and articulate individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to m

ake a real success of their lives. We focus on the whole child and so our broad and balanced curriculum is complemented by a wide ranging and exciting programme of extra-curricular activities. There is something for every child at Shoreham Academy - whatever their interests, whatever their abilities. All students participate in the ‘Shoreham Academy Experience’ with the expectation of fulfilling a number of ‘pledges’ in preparation for adult life.

A fantastic weekend in the sunshine for the 16 students preparing for their Cambodia Expedition this July! Students had the opportunity to meet their Expedition Leader while taking part in a range of activities including cooking, camping, and hiking.

Throughout the weekend, they developed key skills such as teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and communication. Our Expedition Leader was really impressed with how well the group performed across all tasks, particularly their positive attitude and resilience throughout the hike.

We look forward to seeing them take on Cambodia this summer! 🌏

We have over 250 students and staff in onesies today. We didn’t break the record but everyone looked fab! Well done, and thank you to all those who took part.

We are excited for our world record attempt this Friday. With warmer weather all students are invited to be in non-uniform for the day with onesies on top that can be removed after our photos have been taken. We are not requiring any students to be in school uniform this Friday!

Shoreham Academy invites you to experience the magic of Mary Poppins Jr.
This spectacular school production brings together nearly 100 talented students and staff for a performance you won’t want to miss.
Tickets are just £6, children under 3 sitting on a parent’s lap are free.
Doors open at 6pm for refreshments courtesy of FoSA, followed by seating in the main hall from 6.45pm.
Programmes will be available for a donation.
The show starts promptly at 7pm and includes an interval.
Support our students and enjoy an evening of music, storytelling and community spirit.

We were delighted to host the amazing author Sarah Crossan this afternoon. With visitors from Durrington High School and Shoreham College. Sarah met Yr8, telling them all about her latest book: Gone for Good. It was a brilliant visit! Massive thanks to The Book Nook in Hove for organising it for us.

📣 Challenge Cup Dodgeball Recap! 🏆🔥
What a match. Staff and Sixth Form Students went head‑to‑head in a dodgeball showdown that had the whole sports hall buzzing.
Still fired up from their volleyball loss, the Sixth Form came out swinging and grabbed an early 1–0 lead. Dodgeballs were flying everywhere - some with surprising accuracy… others with less surprising chaos. At one point a member of staff pulled off a move we can only describe as “panicked interpretive dance,” while a sixth former launched a throw that might still be circling the hall lights.
For a moment it looked like the students had it in the bag.
But the staff regrouped, tightened their bibs, and mounted a classic comeback. The final sets were a blur of dodges, dives, and very questionable cardio.
Final score: 3-2 to the Staff.
The Challenge Cup stays put on the staffroom shelf - slightly dusty, very loved.
Everyone wrapped up the evening with pizza and live music, which nearly soothed the students’ disappointment. Nearly.
One thing this match proved once again:
In Staff vs Students… experience (and creaky joints) still gets the win.
