The Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership - SHWP is a community led partnership set up to support residents in Shipston and the neighbouring villages to live longer and better.
The Partnership works through an Executive committee which is comprised of the chairs of five Work Streams - Mental Health, Children and Young People, Healthy Ageing, Transport and Environment and Climate Change - and representatives of other organisations.
The Shipston on Stour Thursday Warm Hub operates every Thursday at the Ellen Badger Hospital in Shipston from 10am to 12pm
Complimentary Tea and Coffee is served along with a friendly face. Every week they have both the social prescriber from Shipston Medical Centre and a Counsellor from Mind on hand to assist with any health and wellbeing needs you may have.
1st Thursday – Tools and resources to help you get online. One of the staff will be able to run through the basics so if you have any digital questions, come along with your phone or tablet.
1st and 2nd Thursdays – There are cooking groups to help you improve your cooking skills and meet new people. Places are limited so its on a first come first served basis.
3rd Thursdays – There will be a Frailty Nurse every month from Shipston Medical Centre. She will be running a drop in clinic and will be on hand to help with any health and mobility issues you have.
4th Thursdays – Shipston Home Nursing staff will come and offer bereavement support along with a warm bowl of soup and a friendly atmosphere.
