👉 QUICK REMINDER 👈

📅There's still time to register online for free lecture 'Marine Aviation as a Fleet Air Arm in the Pacific War, 1941–1945', being broadcast this Thursday at 6.00pm.

Dr Peter F. Owen, Lieutenant Colonel, USMC (Retired), will explore how U.S. Marine Corps aviation operated during the Pacific War — not primarily in support of marines ashore, but in defence of fleets, ships and bases, and in strikes against enemy vessels and installations.

The lecture will also examine the history of US Air Force Squadron VMF-221, the Fighting Falcons, from its destruction at the Battle of the Midway to later campaigns in the Solomons and aboard USS Bunker Hill.

✈️ This talk will promise to be a fascinating look at naval air power, sea control and the evolving role of military aviation.

🚁 The iconic Chinook ‘Bravo November’ will be on static display at this weekend’s RAF Cosford Air Show (Official) ! 🎉

👀 Here’s a little sneak peek of it leaving the Museum’s Conservation Centre and making its way down to Hangar 1, where the blades have been re-attached, before it was moved onto the Royal Air Force Cosford airfield ready for the weekend. 🔧🚁

⭐ Exclusively for the Cosford Air Show, aviation fans can get on board the legendary Chinook ‘Bravo November’, for a small donation. 🙌

Known as ‘The Survivor’, Bravo November earned its reputation during the 1982 liberation of the Falkland Islands. After the MS Atlantic Conveyor was struck by a missile and later sank, Bravo November was the sole Chinook to survive, going on to play a crucial role in the conflict. 🚁💪

📍 Head to the Museum’s enclosure on the airfield to see Bravo November, alongside three NEW aircraft acquisitions 🆕✈️:
