It’s been a while since I posted as we’ve been working on the kitchen area and awaiting an upgrade to electrics and plumbing, it’s coming together now.
As you can see, the sink is in and we now have shelving in there to keep items that are in the process of cleaning and finishing.
As you can see, the little bird houses on the top shelf are almost ready to be rehoused and a price will be set soon.
All the items we make are from reclaimed, recycled or offcuts of wood where possible.

It was great to welcome another guest to the shed today to let him see first hand what we’re all about.
Mr Edward Morello M.P. came on a planned visit for an hour and spoke with members of the shed and also Mike Burks, Castle Gardens MD.

We set Ed to work on a small project that one of our members was in the process of starting, therefore he’s now learned new skills to take away with him and pass on.

It was an honour to welcome you today and nice to see the Shed getting more recognition from people such as yourself.

A message to you all, today at 1500 we formally launched ‘The Green Shed’.
I can not mention you all by name but thank you to each and every one of you that attended the launch but a special thanks must go out to our wonderful Lady Mayor, Cllr Jill Warburton who performed the opening .
The amazing support we’ve received from all areas of the Sherborne Community, including those within the health care sector, councillors, businesses and especially from the ‘Shedders’ who helped to bring this project to life, I owe you a great debt of gratitude.
I look forward to representing you all at The Green Shed at the Lady Mayor’s Civic Reception later next week.

*************EXCITING NEWS**************

Dear supporters,

Although we still need to complete works in the kitchen/meeting area, all based around electrical installation which we hope to have within the next 6 weeks, I am excited to bring the news that we have decided that now is the right time to formally open.
Invites have been sent to the organisations and individuals who have help pave the way to this new community asset which is to be opened by the town’s Lady Mayor on Saturday 25th April,
After which those wishing to join can do so via our upcoming website the cost to becoming a member is currently going to be £12 per year.
