Today we delivered a talk on anti-social behaviour and the implications of arson and malicious hoax 999 calls to just under 1,000 students at Iveshead School.

We want to thank the school for facilitating this and allowing us to deliver this important message. 🙏

Our message was received extremely well, and we hope it will have a positive impact on the choices young people make in the future and their understanding of the consequences of their actions.

Did you know? Any child from the age of 10 found guilty of arson and/or making malicious hoax 999 calls can face fines of up to £5,000, imprisonment, and a criminal record. 🔥

Education and early intervention remain key to keeping our communities safe. 🧑‍🚒 🚒

🚒🚓 Tomorrow, alongside Leicestershire Police we will be visiting Iveshead School to speak with pupils about the dangers and serious consequences of playing with fire.

Fire can spread quickly and cause devastating injuries, damage, and risk to life. By educating young people early, we hope to help keep our communities safe and encourage responsible behaviour around fire safety.

We look forward to meeting the students and answering their questions tomorrow. 👩‍🚒👮

Today is Firefighters’ Memorial Day, when we honour the sacrifice of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty, and recognise the courage and dedication of generations of firefighters, including those serving in our communities today. 👩‍🚒 🚒

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported this year’s charity car wash! 🚗💦 🧑‍🚒

We’re delighted to share that we raised £861 in cash donations, which will soon be sent to The Fire Fighters Charity. In addition, many of you generously donated directly via our QR code—those totals are still being confirmed.

Once we have the final figure, we’ll share an update in the coming days.

To the amazing residents of Shepshed—thank you once again for showing up and supporting such an important cause. You did us proud! 👏🔥 🚒

Next Saturday, 25 April, Shepshed Station are hosting a charity car wash to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity. Bring your vehicle along to get cleaned, and meet your local crew, between 11am and 3pm - donations welcome!
