Today we paid a visit to the young people at Paces Sheffield to talk about the role of the Police in the community followed by a look round one of our vehicles and some of the equipment.

Burngreave Neighbourhood policing team close down cannabis farm!

The team executed a warrant under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act at a property on Petre Drive, Burngreave.

A cannabis factory was located within the property and a male arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation.

Following an investigation, a male in his 30's of was charged with production of cannabis and remanded to attend Sheffield magistrates court whereby he was remanded in custody until a further court date.

Earlier this week we were joined by local City and Parish Cllrs from Ecclesfield Parish Council for our Ward Walkabout in High Green.

An opportunity to discuss local issues in the community.

During the busy Bank Holiday weekend, around other commitments we patrolled our parks and green spaces to ensure everybody could enjoy them safely.

As the suns come out we have dutsted the bikes off and resumed our bikes patrols. 🚲 👮 😎

CHARGED: Three men charged after man injured in Sheffield stabbing

Three men have been charged in connection with a stabbing in Sheffield which left a man with serious injuries.

At 4.42pm on Tuesday (19 May) we were called to reports of a stabbing on Firth Park Road in the Page Hall area.

It is reported a 22-year-old man was stabbed, and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Faraz Azhar, 23, of Firth Park Road, Sheffield, is charged with Section 18 wounding, possession of a bladed article and affray.

Azhar Hussain, 50, of Firth Park Road, Sheffield, is charged with attempted Section 18, possession of an offensive weapon and affray.

Mohammed Ibrahim, 21, of St Anne's Road, Doncaster, is charged with possession of a bladed article and affray.

All three men have been remanded into custody and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates' Court today (Thursday 21 May).

What have we been up to this weekend?

Alongside responding to incidents the team have been carrying out lots of proactive work this weekend.

👮 We have stop and searched a number of people under the misuse of drugs act and those found in possession of controlled drugs have been dealt accordingly.

🚗 We have arrested a male for drug driving in High Green

🚔 We arrested a female for 4 shoplifting offences in Ecclesfield with a value of over £400 - she has been charged to court.

🛑 We have dealt with a prisoner who was harrassing their neighbour - bailed for CPS advice

🔪 We have dealt with a prisoner who was found in possession of a knife - charged and remanded for court.

🚙 Following complaints about speeding we have conducted speed enforcement on Newman Road, Bellhouse Road and Horninglow Road- those exceeding the speed limit will be hearing from us in due course.
