It was hot in the valley for the workday on Saturday 23rd May but we got the job almost done!

Thanks to Julian, Tony, Andy, Amanda, Ian, Emma, Dave, Mark, Matt and ranger Nick for all the hard work.

Also thanks to Charlie for the amazing shots of the Spotted Woodpecker feeding its young in the woodland. What a beautiful thing to witness!

We saw some great bugs too, here is my Common Cardinal Beetle and I’m sure Amanda will post more.

Thanks for looking! 👍

16 people attended our Bluebell Walk last Saturday 25th April which was a great success and very much enjoyed by all, including 3 visiting members of the Sorby Natural History Society.
Many thanks to all attendees but especially to Christine Handley for leading the walk and to Boz, Nigel and Shirley from the Handsworth Museum.
Thanks to Steph and Debi for some of the photos, which can never do justice to the magnificence of the bluebells. If you haven’t already seen them, go down asap as they are beginning to fade!
Look out for details of our next event planned for Saturday 9th May 🙏
