A few quick snaps from the 72010 Hengist open day at Diamond Engineering in Sheffield today. Hengist is a new-build BR Standard Class 6 locomotive of which none survived into preservation. 72010 also shares the building with fellow new-build B17 61673 Spirit of Sandringham.

Testing out some 3D printed wagons on the club layout tonight. These have been printed in PLA on a Bambu A1 FDM printer, rather than the usual resin. This means some fine detail has to be sacrificed but results in a much more robust model, and is not prone to warpage like resin. These ran excellently, and will be joined by some SPA and VGAs soon!
