Great to see everyone in our Edible Year group yesterday and hear about the foraging people had done over the summer! 🌿 In yesterday’s session, we spent time getting to know some of the surrounding plants and shared our knowledge together, followed by foraging blackberries and nettle seeds to add to our energy ball recipe.

Here’s a handful of the plants gathered on today’s Edible Year session - How many can you name? 🌿🤔

Today, our foraging friends made their very own kimchi made with all the wild ingredients collected during the session.

Some key plants used were wild garlic, ground elder and even nettles! Can’t wait to see (and taste!) how everyone’s kimchi turns out 🥬🌿😋 What do you like in yours?

🌿🍃 Feeling inspired about the foraging journey ahead! 🌿🍃

In May, we welcomed a new group of foragers taking part in our Edible Year course.

After spending the day exploring and discussing the plants we had gathered during our first session, we looked at ways to use some of our foraged ingredients - including making a delicious wild garlic sauce that we enjoyed together 😋🌿
