As Volunteers’ Week comes to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to Ania and Marcis for their continued dedication to supporting stray cats and local wildlife in South Yorkshire.

We’d also like to recognise the work of South Yorkshire Stray Cats for providing ongoing support including food, veterinary treatment, microchip checks, and Trap, Neuter, Return programmes.

Together, their efforts are helping improve the welfare of vulnerable animals across the community.

Watch the reel to hear how they help feed and check on stray cats across South Yorkshire, while also caring for local cats and wildlife closer to their place of work at GBCH. Their wildlife camera has also captured some amazing footage near our offices 🦊🐦‍⬛

This , we’re shining a light on two amazing GBCH colleagues, Ania and Marcis, who spend their own time caring for stray cats and local wildlife across South Yorkshire 🐾

Working alongside , they help provide food, care and support for stray cats, as well as the occasional fox and bird visitors caught on camera too 🦊🐦‍⬛

South Yorkshire Stray Cats support their work through food donations, flea and worm treatment, microchip checks, and Trap, Neuter, Return programmes to help protect stray cat populations humanely.

We held our event at our Sheffield office today 💚

Staff and the people we support came together to enjoy food, take part in important conversations about mental health, and join in our best dressed competition.

The Leeds team had a fantastic Wear It Green Day 💚

We welcomed members of the community to a drop in session with refreshments, friendly conversations, and support available throughout the day. We also held a clothing drive for those we support, and we were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown.

A big thank you to everyone who donated clothing, joined us, and helped make the day so special. Small acts of kindness really do go a long way 🌿

Shoutout to the Mental Health Foundation for all the amazing work they do to raise awareness and encourage conversations around mental health.
