๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐ Standing Together to End Violence Against Women and Girls ๐๐ฎโโ๏ธ
Today, Sergeant Kinsella, PC Smith, and PCSOs Quinn and Hargreaves were proud to attend Redefine Health Club in support of the Stand With Us campaign, helping to raise awareness of violence against women and girls and encouraging important conversations around safety, support, and prevention.
The team spent time engaging with members of the local community, taking part in a fitness class, sharing advice and reassurance, and providing information on personal safety and support services. Officers were also on hand with leaflets, stay-safe items, and campaign merchandise to help spread the message that violence against women and girls has no place in our communities.
๐ค Why is this important?
Preventing violence against women and girls is not something policing can achieve alone. It requires communities, businesses, organisations and individuals to work together to challenge unacceptable behaviour, support victims, and create environments where everyone feels safe.
By attending events like this, we can build trust, listen to concerns, offer support, and demonstrate our commitment to being visible, approachable, and proactive in addressing issues that matter to our communities.
We are already planning further community engagement events and look forward to meeting more residents, businesses and community groups in the coming months. Keep an eye on our social media channels for updates and opportunities to meet your local neighbourhood policing team.
A huge thank you to everyone at Redefine Health Club for welcoming us and supporting this important campaign. Together, we can make a difference.
