A lovely visit to celebrate 21 years of a fantastic local nursery. 🎉 Arbourthorne Tiddlywinks Centre

It was great to meet the staff, see the brilliant work they do, and hear about the support they’ve provided to families and the local community over the past two decades.

Congratulations to everyone who has played a part in making the nursery such an important part of the community.

Now is the time of year that parents of children born between the 1st September 2022 and the 31st August 2023 should be applying for a school place in the 2027/28 Reception year group.

Parents who do not make an on-time application are far less likely to obtain a place at one of their preferred schools.

Parents can make their application using either of the following methods:

Online at: www.sheffield.gov.uk/schools-childcare

By paper form which can be downloaded at the above website or can be requested by emailing: [email protected]

Important Dates:
Applications invited from: 7th September 2026
On-line site closes: 11th December 2026 (noon)
Closing date: 15th January 2027
Offer date: 16th April 2027

Our 21st Anniversary celebration is only just over a week away!
Please be aware that there will be no childcare offered on Friday 4th September as we will be closing to celebrate the occasion.
Invites have now been sent out and if you would like to attend please could you respond asap by either phone call, email or speak to a member of staff. The event will be running from 12.30pm - 2.30pm and there will be refreshments available & lots of entertainment. We can't wait to celebrate with you all 🎉🎊🎉

Some of the babies from Little Buds went out for a walk to the local pond & park before it got too warm. Disappointing there were no ducks to be seen at the pond 🦆 😎

Last week the children in foundation enjoyed making some gingerbread men. Whilst looking at the ingredients an egg broke on the table. We spoke about what we could make with broken eggs and we discussed making an omelette. 🥚🍳

Today we made those omelettes! We made chefs hats and decided what ingredients we wanted in our omelette by ticking them on our order form. We enjoyed cutting up the different ingredients and whisking our eggs up. We went to the kitchen and watched the omelette being made. We then enjoyed them at snack time 😋.
