🕯️ Slovak Sheffield🪽 BABY S 🪽 INVITATION TO PRAYER, REFLECTION & REMEMBRANCE 🇬🇧🇸🇰 Slovak Sheffield UK
On Saturday, 19 September 2026 from 4pm, we invite the people of Sheffield UK and surrounding areas to come together at St Marie’s Cathedral for a time of prayer, reflection and remembrance for 🪽Baby S.
Cathedral Church of St Marie, Sheffield
In the wake of the recent tragedy, many people across Sheffield have been left deeply saddened. This gathering offers a quiet space for us to come together, remember a little life, and show compassion and solidarity with Baby S and all those affected.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of culture, nationality, faith or background.
You may come to:
🕯️ light a candle
🌸 lay flowers
🙏 pray
🤍 spend a moment in quiet reflection
🤝 stand together with others in our community
There is no need to say anything or to belong to any particular faith. Sometimes simply coming together is itself an expression of care.
📍 Saturday 19 September 2026
4:00–6:00 pm
St Marie’s Cathedral
Norfolk Row, Sheffield S1 2JB
(City Centre)
Following the prayer and reflection time, everyone is warmly invited to Houlden Hall, next door, for refreshments and community time.
If you would like to bring something to share, Slovak cakes, traditional food or something from your own culture would be very welcome. ☕🍰
🎁 A small act of kindness
As part of the Memorial Day, we will also be collecting baby clothes, toys, books and other items for babies and young children.
These will be given to Slovak and Roma families who may need them most.
Every contribution, however small, can become a practical expression of compassion and support.
