This week our toddlers are enjoying exploring the soil and discovering insects and worms using tweezers and cups. They showed curiosity and excitement while carefully picking up the worms and looking closely at the insects. This activity is supporting fine motor skills, turn taking, and early exploration of nature.🐛🐜🐞

We have also been feeding the farm animals with oats and cornflakes and talking about the different foods farm animals eat on the farm. The children enjoyed discussing which animals eat hay, grass, and vegetables, while exploring feeding and caring for animals through play.🐑🐮🐷🐴

Today in our Sunflower's room we have a fun maths activity for the children to explore! The children were guided to write and recognise the numbers! After they had traced the numbers using their fine motor skills, the children then had to find the right number of dots to match them together. Our Sunflowers had an amazing time exploring this activity, well done☺️

In Snowdrops our babies have been celebrating St George's Day with red and white oats. They have been using their fine motor skills to grasp the oats with their hands and practising scooping with spoons and pouring with cups. The babies loved hearing the sound of oats dropping to the floor.

This week in Snowdrops and Bluebells they have loved exploring our easter themed tactile tray full of eggs, chicks, tissue paper and feathers. The babies and toddlers used their hands to explore the materials and they had excellent fine motor skills to scoop and pour into different egg cups.🐣🐰

Last week in our Sunflowers room, we had a pirate ship in the role play area, finding treasure in the tactile tray and colouring our own treasure maps!
