We’re pleased to announce that Wessex Fire & Security, as part of the andwis Group, has successfully acquired an NSI Gold Category 2 alarm receiving centre (Remote Monitoring Services or RMS).

This move means we can now self-deliver the monitoring of our customers’ fire and security systems, providing greater control, improved responsiveness and an enhanced customer experience.

For fire alarm customers, RMS portal access will also allow systems to be placed on test remotely.

This transition marks an important step in our continued investment in technology, service quality and customer support whilst maintaining the same trusted Wessex Fire & Security contact channels and support teams our customers know and rely on.

House fires are never an easy topic – but they’re a reality we can’t ignore.

In the year ending June 2025, there were 208 fire-related fatalities in dwellings in England, with cooking appliances responsible for 44% of home fires. In over a third of fatal dwelling fires, there was no working smoke alarm present. Most fires start in a single room – but smoke spreads fast, and being alerted early can make all the difference.
