Good morning from Settle Market. We once again a great selection of stalls on the Market despite a few absences due to the Bank Holiday. We also welcome Jane and her colleagues from Giggleswick WI who have a tempting selection of home made cakes and jams on offer. Also today we have Jill and team members from the Girl Guides providing information on the Guides and also advice regarding their Protect the Peaks litter campaign.
So pop down to the Market today and support your traders and the shops within our lovely Town Centre.

🎄🎅CHRISTMAS MARKET STALL APPLICATIONS - SETTLE CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH ON EVENT 🎅🎄
Plans are well under way for this year's Christmas lights switch on event which will take place on Saturday 28th November. We will once again be hosting a Christmas market. Good morning from Settle Market. Once again, we have a great selection of stalls on offer with the traders looking for another busy day. We are expecting the odd shower today, but that won't stop folk from visiting Settle and perhaps following the Flowerpot trail. Trail guides are available from various town centre retailers and the Tourist Information Centre.

One of our most popular stalls on the Market is Northern Relics operated by Stella. The stall is located next to Boots the Chemist. Stella specializes in Gold, Silver, Jewellery and antique collectables, so a real curiosity corner. So, if you are interested in selling your Jewellery or items that you have inherited why not speak to Stella.

So come on down to our lovely Town Centre and Market today.

Representatives from Settle Town Council recently met with the Mayor of York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority , David Skaith, and his team during his visit to the area.

The visit was an opportunity to showcase all that Settle has to offer, while also raising local concerns and discussing issues that are important to our community.

The Mayor also took the time to meet with local business owners and visit their shops, hearing firsthand about their experiences and the contribution they make to our town.

We were pleased to welcome the Mayor and his team to Settle and to have the opportunity to highlight our fantastic town and community.

Settle Town Council were happy to support the 1st Clapham & Austwick Brownies & Guides "Protect the Peaks" campaign with a grant through it's community grant scheme.
Let's hope their eye catching signs will encourage people to take their litter home!!

🌿📢 WOULD YOU ADOPT A PROTECT THE PEAKS SIGN? 📢🌿
Our Brownies & Guides have been out talking to the public and asking an important question:
Would you become a Protect the Peaks Sign Guardian?
Thanks to Settle Town Council we now have another 160 campaign signs ready to be displayed in suitable locations, and we need families, businesses and supporters to help us get them out there.
As a Sign Guardian, you can:
📍 Help find a suitable location
✅ Get permission where necessary
🌿 Help display the sign
👀 Keep an occasional eye on it
📢 Tell us if it becomes damaged or needs replacing
The girls designed the signs to encourage everyone visiting and enjoying the Yorkshire Dales to take their litter home.

Good morning from another warm and fresh day in Settle. The odd shower is in prospect but nothing to stop you visiting our lovely Market and Town Centre and perhaps follow the Flowerpot trail.
