We're so proud of the Scottish Borders Tenants Organisation (SBTO), who have been shortlisted for the second year running in the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) Scotland Good Practice Awards for Tenant Group of the Year. The winners will be announced tonight at the Golden Jubilee Hotel, Clydebank. Fingers crossed!

SBTO is a dedicated group of tenant volunteers who work together to make a real difference in their communities. For over 23 years, SBTO has partnered with SBHA to ensure tenants’ voices are heard and reflected in housing services.

SBTO volunteers bring lived experience, passion, and commitment to everything they do - from reviewing policies and shaping services to supporting community events and engaging with tenants across the Scottish Borders. Their work has led to meaningful improvements, including more accessible communication, stronger inclusion, and better engagement with rural and underrepresented communities.

Make it a routine to check your smoke alarms every week.

It’s Test It Tuesday!

You are around nine times more likely to die in a fire if you do not have any working smoke alarms.

Test smoke and heat alarms weekly to make sure if fire does break out everyone in your home has time to get out safely.

We have been made aware of a water supply issue in the Croft Street area of Galashiels. This seems to be a knock-on effect of work being carried out by Scottish Water at Albert Place. We have reported this issue to Scottish Water.
