How is it the 1st of September already?! Thank you to Hazel Dunbar for this beautiful image of Old Gala House.

And with the start of Autumn, it's officially time to kick off the 2027 SBTO calendar competition. Ifyou're a budding photographer and love capturing images that showcase the beautiful borders - its heritage, landscapes or wildlife - we'd love to see what you can do.

Please send your high-resolution images to [email protected] by the 31st October to be considered by our SBTO Members for inclusion in the 2026 Tenant Calendar. Landscape-oriented pictures usually work best, but we may be able to crop portrait ones too.

🍀 Good luck! 🍀

❓ What are estate walkabouts?
Estate walkabouts are regular visits around our neighbourhoods by SBHA’s Neighbourhood Team. They help us spot external repairs and estate management issues, such as dog fouling, fly tipping, littering, damaged communal areas and other environmental concerns.

❓ Why do they matter?
They’re an important way to help keep our communities clean, safe and welcoming. By picking up issues early, we can work with tenants and partners to improve shared spaces and make sure neighbourhoods are places everyone can feel proud of.

❓ How can residents help?
If you spot something that needs attention, please let us know. Looking after our neighbourhoods works best when we all play our part - reporting concerns, using shared spaces responsibly and helping keep streets and communal areas tidy.

See pic for details of walkabouts taking place this coming week (from 31st August), or see our website for upcoming walkabouts in your area - https://www.sbha.org.uk/community-teams/
