NATUREWOOD WELCOMES LITTLE PLAY DREAMERS!

AHOY ME HEARTIES!!! It's time to jump on board for our special 'Pirates' forest club session (open to children aged 0-11 years old) where we'll be inviting the swashbuckling Amelia from Little Play Dreamers along to play!

During the 2 hour session, children will have the opportunity to explore the woodland at their own pace and partake in traditional forest school activities such as den building, nature identification and crafts. We'll be making treasure maps, panning for sparkling treasures and making pirate flags! Children can also cook up some daring delights in our Sea Shanty mud kitchen or test out their balancing skills on the obstacle course (watch out for the plank! 😯).

Amelia will deliver a 40 minute Little Play Dreamers session during your 2 hours, diving into an interactive, engaging and exciting imagination adventure to the high seas! With bubbles, stories, treasure hunts and dancing it's going to be a pirate party in the forest you won't want to miss!

💚 NOVEMBER 💚

The weather is starting to change in the woodland and we're now enjoying a mixture of weather types as the seasons change. Waterproofs and cosy layers are definitely becoming a necessity!! 'Mr Featherhead' is becoming more decorated after one of our little Robins brought him some peacock feathers...thank you! We planted acorns that had been falling from a nearby Oak tree, and the little ones also took some to plant at home. We welcomed our youngest Robin so far, and she enjoyed a swing in the hammock 🥹

It's been wonderful to see our little group develop and to observe the children freely exploring and playing in the woodland. We've also been very impressed with their enthusiasm at TIDY UP TIME! 🔔

💚 OCTOBER 💚

Naturewood Forest Club is OPEN!!! 🥳

Such an exciting first month in the woods welcoming our Robins (0-5's) and Starlings (0-11's) along to play! Autumn is honestly such a beautiful time to be in the woodland. The falling leaves in all their colours and so many conkers, acorns and pinecones. Our mud kitchen cooks were loving it!!! We also held our first holiday session where older children came along to play. We were introduced to Freddie's 'bird scavenger hunt', a bird hiding and finding game created by him (he's only 10!). We also met 'Mr Featherhead' who's a little bald at the moment but will look much snazzier when we bring him some feathers

Thanks so much for supporting our little group, every one of your bookings means the world to us. We'll 'see you again next week'! ☺️

NATUREWOOD FOREST CLUB WELCOMES BOOMCHIKKABOOM!!

You asked and we have delivered...we are SUPER excited to announce that the awesome GOOD ENERGY INCLUSIVE EVENTS, PRIVATE PARTIES AND MORE. are coming along to play!!

There will be bubbles, dancing, family friendly raving and forest club fun. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided to keep your energy levels high on our woodland dancefloor! Expect good music (yes, even adults will LOVE the tunes!) and 100% good vibes 🤩

Children will have the opportunity to explore the woodland during the session and partake in traditional forest school activities such as den building, scavenger hunts and crafts. We'll be making festival flags, accessories and great memories! Children can also cook up some disco delights in our mud kitchen, test out their balancing skills on the obstacle course or try a bit of bird watching!

This event is a 'Starlings' session, aimed at children aged 0-11 years of age (older siblings are welcome if you think they'll enjoy it!). Please follow the link in our bio to book your tickets on BookWhen.

A big Naturewood Forest Club HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Sir , the biggest nature hero there is, who celebrates his 100th birthday today!! 🥳

Our little ones are the nature heroes of the future so it's important to inspire their little minds now. Big and little adventures outdoors, nature books and crafts, caring for animals, plants and the world around us - it all counts towards making our world a healthier and better place in the future. We hope that by partaking in these activities our little ones will adopt a lifelong love and appreciation of the big wide world 🌍

Some of our Robins recorded birthday messages which will be part of the big birthday video for Sir David...keep your eyes peeled. They did such a great job!! 💚

NATUREWOOD WELCOMES STORY CRAFT THEATRE!

Come along to another special 'Robins' forest club session, aimed at pre-school aged children (0-5 years old) where we’re inviting the award-winning Janet and Cassie from Story Craft Theatre along to play!

During the session Janet and Cassie will perform 'Making a Memory', an interactive theatre production where memories come to life! It'll be an action packed adventure...one moment your little ones will be soaring through space, the next riding a wave or even rumbling through the farmyard on a tractor. All you need is a spark of imagination (and we know your little ones have PLENTY of that!!). There will be games, music, puppets and more!!

Children will have the opportunity to explore the woodland during the session and partake in traditional forest school activities such as den building, scavenger hunts and crafts. They can also cook up some delights in our mud kitchen, test out their balancing skills on the obstacle course or try a bit of bird watching! A take-home craft is included in your ticket price.

There are two sessions on this day: 9.30-11.30am or 12.30-2.30pm. Story Craft Theatre will perform at both sessions. Strory Craft Theatre are also proud to be a Makaton friendly theatre company ☺️

We're back in the woods again on Tuesday and Friday for our 'Robins' sessions, aimed at little ones aged 0-5 years of age. 9.30-11.30am, Barlow Common Nature Reserve!

At Tuesday's session we'll be welcoming 8 students from Selby College who are studying childcare and forest school...they're looking forward to seeing what we all get up to!! 😁

Come along to our 'Robins' forest club session (aimed at pre-school aged children aged 0-5 years old) where we’re inviting the magical Amelia from Little Play Dreamers along to play! So many of your little ones have enjoyed her sessions before so we thought it was about time that she brought her magic to Naturewood!

During the 2 hour session, children will have the opportunity to explore the woodland at their own pace and to partake in traditional forest school activities such as den building, tool use and crafts. They can also cook up some delights in our magical fairytale mud kitchen, test out their balancing skills on the obstacle course or try a spot of bird watching (perhaps we'll spot a few fairies too?!)

Amelia will deliver a 40 minute 'Fairies in the Forest' themed session during your 2 hours, inviting your little ones on an interactive, engaging and exciting imagination adventure to Fairy Land. Fancy dress is encouraged!

A fairytale themed take-home craft is included in your ticket price.

FOREST SCHOOL FOR ONE ☺️

What happens when only one person books onto our session? Absolutely nothing...we still run the session!

We're an all weather/all season group so it's natural to expect fluctuations in attendance. We'll always give the booker the option to transfer their ticket, just in case they don't fancy being the only one there. But if they're OK with it then we'll run as usual.

We built this little Robin a den of his own, complete with all of the forest club essentials...wheelbarrow, gardening tools, pots and pans, a dump truck and binoculars. After a quick spot of bird watching and exploring with his Mummy, he made his way to a big squelchy puddle with his pots and pans!!

We've had a pretty wet start to 2026 (possibly one of the wettest ones on record?!), so your support over the past month has been really appreciated!!
