🚌 Bus shelter improvements coming soon across Seaton Valley

We’re pleased to confirm that Seaton Valley Community Council has secured up to Β£52,300 of Bus Service Improvement Programme (BSIP) funding to refurbish our stone bus shelters across Seaton Valley.

The project will see roofs replaced and repairs carried out to stone shelters across our villages, including the two currently unserviced shelters in Seaton Sluice which we know residents have raised concerns about.

We expect work to begin within the next few weeks, subject to final arrangements with the contractor. While individual shelters are being worked on, they will need to be closed and, where necessary, arrangements will be made for buses to stop at a safe temporary location nearby. We appreciate your cooperation while the work is ongoing.

The project is being funded through the Bus Service Improvement Programme, with funding from Northumberland County Council, the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority and the Department for Transport.

A welcome investment in improving local facilities across Seaton Valley. 🚌🏑

Thank you to everyone who has attended our Allotment Open Week,

We have been delighted with the level of interest, and all plots available at the Monday and Tuesday sessions were snapped up quickly.

There are still 19 plots available for tonight's open evening at the Seaton Terrace, Dartford and Victoria Allotment Sites.

We also have just one plot currently available for tomorrow's event at Seghill Road Site. However, we will also be available tomorrow to show any plots that remain unallocated following this week's open events.

All plots are offered on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage anyone interested to come along and take a look before they're gone.
