MAYORS NEWS – AUGUST 2026
The Mayor of Seaham Councillor Milford Lingard and the Mayoress Councillor Sylvia Lingard attended Brass on the Grass at Christ Church hall field on Sunday 9th August. Trimdon Band entertained everyone who attended and the Mayor stated that it was a lovely afternoon which they both thoroughly enjoyed.

The Council were in recess throughout August, however the Mayor was still out and about meeting people and called into visit many of Seaham’s local businesses offering his support.

On August 26th two Chelsea Pensioners visited Seaham Town Hall, and they were also taken to visit the new mural in Frederick Street. The Mayor stated that it was an honour to meet the two gentlemen and the Mayor was very proud to have his granddaughter accompany him as his Mayoress for the visit.
