A donation of £1,000 presented by Seaford Rotary, comprising our own donation and funds from Seaford Martello Rotary and an individual benefactor, have helped Seaford Dramatic Society towards achieving their fund-raising target for the final stage of their urgent roof repairs to Seaford Little Theatre.
Members of the Seaford Dramatic Society said it became obvious at the end of 2023 that the roof needed some urgent repairs and so in early 2024 they commenced with the most urgent work and continued throughout 2024 and 2025, as funds permitted. The final repairs needed, toward which this donation contributed, are being carried out in the coming weeks.
The organisers are pleased to acknowledge receipt of several grants, including from the Seaford Rotary and Seaford Martello Clubs, for which they state they are eternally grateful. They have also received private donations and have held social fundraising event events to raise money for the roof repairs.
Their final comment “Thank you again to the Seaford Rotary Clubs and all of the contributors who have given grants or made donations towards The Roof Project”.

A donation presented by Seaford Rotary, has helped ‘Friends of Sutton Downs’ and ‘Plastic Free Seaford’, working with ‘Wave Leisure’ achieve their fundraising target for the installation of an Outdoor Water Refill Station at the Downs Leisure Centre.

The installation will be an Elkay EZH2O Wall Mounted Outdoor Bottle Filling Station - manufactured using Marine 316 Grade Steel, the most popular unit for coastal areas which due to its robustness and vandal resistance, it is expected to last more than ten years.

Friends of Sutton Downs have joined forces with Plastic Free Seaford for the installation of the outdoor Water Refill Station. Providing a single use plastic free alternative for visitors to the Downs to refill and rehydrate after exercise with clean, natural, healthy water will help to reduce the volume of plastic pollution on the grounds and enable this area of Seaford to live up to its status of being a plastic-free town.
