This morning I took the leader of North Lincolnshire Council on a walkabout in Crosby and Park to show him the scale of littering and fly tipping.

I'll continue to keep pressure on the Council to tackle this issue and clean up our streets!

Already checked, and yes the gritters have been out:

"Good Morning

In response to your email about gritting,

I can confirm that all routes were treated yesterday evening as planned, however in the early hours rainfall which was not forecast passed across the county causing widespread issues.

Once we were made aware that there was a problem with formation of black ice and a negative effect on routes, we instigated a full network re-treatment.

The widespread formation of black ice in this manner is rare and there is little we can do in these situations other than react to the arising issues.

Please rest assured we do make every effort to mitigate the formation of ice, frost and snow throughout the entire winter season, sometimes however the weather wins."
