The 's Management Plan 2026–2030 has arrived! It's a roadmap for caring for the islands' incredible natural beauty over the next four years ✨

From stunning coastlines and crystal-clear waters to wildlife-rich habitats and cherished island views, the Plan sets out how people and partners can work together to conserve and enhance the special qualities that make the Isles of Scilly such an extraordinary place 🐚

What makes this Plan even more special? It has been shaped by the people who know and love these islands best. Over the last two years, local residents and organisations have helped create a shared vision for the future of the landscape 🌱

The Plan has now been formally adopted by the Council of the Isles of Scilly, marking the start of an exciting new chapter ⭐

A big shout out to everyone who contributed along the way 💚

🌍 Help bring zero-waste shopping back to Falmouth! 🛍️

Another Weigh are raising funds to establish a community-run refill shop and sustainability hub that will make ethical, affordable, low-waste shopping accessible to everyone!

A shop in Falmouth could save around 80,000 plastic bottles every year and enable hundreds of customers to access healthy, sustainable food without packaging 🫘

Donate £30+ and you'll receive membership benefits, including 10% off food products when the shop opens and a voice in future decisions 🎤

Once they've reached the £25,000 mark, they will unlock £5k from Cornwall Council's Climate and Nature Fund!

Every contribution makes a difference. Please donate and share! ♻️✨ https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/falmouth-zero-waste-shop?eftk=e80fde8fc7e1921f78e8e525199fe3a3badb7993

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Farming, Food and Nature Hub at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show!

It was fantastic to see so many farmers, land managers, partners and the community coming together to explore how we can work with nature to support a thriving, resilient future for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

We had an absolute ball and, despite sadly losing the Saturday, all the effort feels more than worth it. Highlights from the Show include:
🚲 Cornwall Council Leader Leigh Frost, accompanied by Deputy Leader Adam Paynter, taking on the pedal-powered garden shredder from Soil Resilience – showing how innovation and sustainability can go hand-in-hand...
🛠️ Ben Maguire MP helping create a Cornish Hedge with CREST - Cornwall Rural Education & Skills Trust
🥚 Delicious scotch eggs from St Ewe Free Range Eggs
🤝 Inspiring conversations and knowledge-sharing across the Hub, demonstrating the growing momentum behind nature-friendly farming - and designing agroforestry systems at the Agroforestry Design Clinic with and The Woodland Trust
🌳 Our partners down in the Woodlands Area proudly taking 2nd place for Best Trade Stand which was great to see!

Join in and be part of recovering our nature. Whether it’s improving soil health, restoring habitats, or integrating trees into farming systems, every action counts - and support is available. Get in touch with us to learn how we can support you with advice, connections and opportunities.

🌊 This World Oceans Day, we're celebrating action for Cornwall’s seas!

Since Cornwall Council passed the Motion for the Ocean in 2023, we've been turning ambition into action - putting the ocean at the heart of decision-making and delivering real change for nature and communities.

Highlights include:
✅ England’s first Marine Nature Recovery Framework created for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly aligned to our terrestrial Nature Recovery Strategy
✅ Cornwall’s first Maerl Conservation Action Plan and the UK’s first Maerl Forum
✅ The launch of Hidden Wonders of St Mawes, showcasing Cornwall’s incredible marine wildlife
✅ Support for seagrass restoration in Falmouth Bay, helping wildlife thrive, storing carbon, and boosting coastal resilience
✅ Embedding ocean health across council policies, programmes, and priorities

Together, we're helping create a healthier future for Cornwall’s seas and the communities that depend on them 💙🌊
