Our annual Competitions Day is just over three weeks away and our cadets are busy working away on their revision for a number of skills and activities in the hopes we can place highly amongst other squadrons within Central & East Yorkshire Wing RAFAC!

One of the areas in which we will be competing is aircraft recognition, the ability to identify and report on aircraft based on their key features such as shape, style, number of engines, air intakes, presence of refueling probes and more.

Our cadets have been working hard to practice this skill in time for the upcoming aircraft recognition competition quiz and now we'd like you - our followers - to get involved!

Can you identify this particular aircraft? Answers in the comments below.

Between now and the end of the month, we'll be inviting you to take part in more of our revision exercises as we grow ever closer to the competition date on 5th July.

Tonight we had a surprise visit from Mr Graham Nicholson of the Scarborough lodge of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes who had arrived to present the squadron with a cheque for £100!

The lodge included a former member of the squadron who sadly passed away back in April, but not before he nominated us for this wonderful gesture as part of the Order's regular charitable activities.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Graham and the rest of the lodge for their kind donation. All funds raised directly benefit our young people.
