📚 Important update – Sawbridgeworth Library

Good news! 🎉 The project to refurbish the windows and replace the sills at Sawbridgeworth Library has been approved and contractors have been appointed.

The library will be closed to the public and volunteers from Monday 28 September until Friday 9 October, reopening on Monday 12 October. This will allow the noisier works to take place safely.

The refurbishment will then continue for around three weeks while the library is open as normal. Activities including Baby Rhyme Time, Storytime, Digital Skills, Book Club and Needles & Pins will be cancelled during this period.

The work is expected to be completed by Friday 30 October, although we’re hoping it may be finished sooner! 🤞

We appreciate your patience and understanding while this important work takes place.

☀️ Important Library Update ☀️

Due to the expected high temperatures, we’ve made the decision to close the library from 12 noon on Wednesday and reopen as usual on Saturday morning.

💛 Baby Rhyme Time will still go ahead on Thursday morning, with the library opening specifically for this session.

Unfortunately, the children’s activity planned for Thursday afternoon has been cancelled due to the heat.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe, keep cool and look after yourselves in the hot weather. ☀️
