We love to welcome visitors to Sandgate's beach, but please leave it at least as clean as you found it. Leaving smashed bottles and other rubbish on the beach when you leave is not OK.

Bag it. Bin it.

There are street bins along the front, but if won't fit in there, drop it into the bulk bins on Granville Parade and Castle Road Car Park.

Bathing Water Celebratory Community Swim - Saturday 23 May, 10am at Granville Parade Beach, Sandgate

We are delighted that our beach at Granville Parade has been designated as a bathing water by DEFRA (https://sandgate-pc.gov.uk/2026/05/15/designation-of-sandgate-granville-parade-as-a-bathing-water/).
Please come along to celebrate this and join our community swim/dip/paddle, or even just gather on the beach if you don't want to get wet!
It would be really wonderful to get a good crowd photo!

Press release issued by Saga today committing to the Enbrook Park site.

It discusses developing the Pavilion as "flexible, multi-purpose space, not just for Saga colleagues but also to support local organisations and community events", and "exploring some residential development in under-utilised parts of the estate to the east."

Councillors have been invited to an informal meeting to "to share context, outline early thinking and, importantly, listen to local perspectives before any proposals are formed" at some stage in the near future.

Event brochure for the Folkestone, Hythe and Sandgate Big Green Fair 2026 which will be held in Enbrook Park on Sunday 7th June 10 - 3pm.

The brochure lists the vast majority of the 50+ charities, businesses, organisations and projects taking part (more have come in since the brochure went to print) plus the full free programme of walks, talks, demonstrations and activities.
