Partou Kids Corner Day Nursery and Pre-school, Sandbach Partou Kids Corner Day Nursery & Pre-school provides early years care and education for children aged 0-5 years old in Sandbach.

At Partou, the children are the leaders. Kids Corner opened in 1992 and is situated in a lovingly converted large Victorian house with extensive grounds. Our outdoor area features an adventure playground, mini-woodland, enchanted house and even some pet chickens. We are situated half a mile from Sandbach town centre and half a mile from Junction 17 of the M6 motorway.

Last week we did a breakfast morning to celebrate parents day. 🍳🥓

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming our parents and carers into the nursery with a special breakfast.

Events like these are so important to us. They help us build that sense of community and partnership with parents and families that supports every child’s learning and development. We truly appreciate your time and continued support.

Foxgloves Flower Shop 💐

Foxgloves had a Kids Corner Flower shop open last week. The children have absolutely loved playing in the flower shop but also most importantly they have learnt a lot without even realising.

They have learnt:
🌸new vocabulary
🌸about the world around us and where do flowers come from
🌸how to share and take turns
🌸starting to recognise letters and numbers
🌸looked at how many flowers the order wanted and made sure they had the right amount

This week we are focusing on the environment, foxgloves took a stroll around the garden on a nature hunt! Each child had there own clipboard and pen and walked around the garden finding different natural objects to tick off! The children worked together as a team and helped each other find things! This promoted understanding the world, curiosity of objects, turn taking and sharing! Well done Foxgloves!

Daisies stay and play

Thank you to all the parents that came and created amazing memories with the children.

Daisies had painting, fancy drink making, a vegetable patch and lots and lots of puzzles.

The children loved exploring all the different activities, developing in all areas and creating memories with the most important people in their life

Foxgloves stay and play

Thank you to all the parents that could come and enjoy all of our spring activities with the children.
Foxgloves had a vegetable patch, an ice cream shop, a bug hunt and even wiggly worms!
The children loved learning about the world around them, practicing sharing and taking turns, looking at similarities and differences, learning new vocabulary, practicing their mathematics and sharing the memories with their grownups.

Last week in Pre-School, we have been inspired by the wonderful Sir David Attenborough as we celebrate his 100th birthday. 🌿🦋

The children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the natural world through mini beast hunts, using magnifying glasses to closely observe nature and different creatures around us. We have also welcomed our very own caterpillars into Pre-School, where the children are learning all about life cycles and change. Over the coming weeks, we will watch them grow into chrysalises before transforming into beautiful butterflies.

These experiences support many areas of learning and development including:
🐛 Understanding the World – exploring nature, living things and life cycles
🔍 Communication & Language – developing new vocabulary through discussion and investigation
✋ Physical Development – strengthening fine motor skills through handling tools and outdoor exploration
💭 Personal, Social & Emotional Development – encouraging curiosity, care and responsibility for living things
🎨 Expressive Arts & Design – inspiring creativity through nature-based activities and observations
🔢 Mathematics – comparing size, counting mini beasts and noticing patterns in nature

We are absolutely thrilled to share that the spirit of the Sandbach Transport Festival steamed right into Kids Corner today!
As the transport festival is a huge part of the community in Sandbach, we wanted to continue the celebration building on culture capital and what makes Sandbach so unique.
The children absolutely loved it and all had a turn to get up close, and even go on the steam engine itself!

Today we have had first aid training where our staff receive in depth training in person. We have learnt a lot and refreshed our memory to make sure we are all keeping your little ones as safe as we can.
