The Tigers Army Parachute Display Team

The Tigers Army Parachute Display Team Military Extreme Sports Team Soldiers of the Regiment are recruited from Kent, Surrey, Sussex, London, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands.

The Tigers were formed over 20 years ago and are firmly established as one of the top parachute display teams within the United Kingdom. The team has been very successful in competitions throughout this period, with the team performing at events such as the British National Parachute Championships and the World Parachute Championships. The Tigers are the flagship team for the Princess of Wales’s R

oyal Regiment, whose seniority stems from the Tangier Regiment of 1661 and thus has the distinction of being the senior English Infantry Regiment of the line. Members of The Tigers consist of volunteers from various battalions of the regiment. The Tigers perform displays throughout the country the majority of which would be carried out within the recruiting areas as mentioned above.

Your Majesty Thank you .

Naturally, there has been a great deal of speculation regarding the next Colonel in Chief. The Regimental Council and RHQ will make no formal comment at this time, except to note that Queen Margrethe did not become Allied Colonel in Chief of the Queen’s Regiment, until five months after Her father’s death.

Sunday the 14th of January marked our Colonel in Chief’s last day as Queen of Denmark and Colonel in Chief, as well as being the anniversary of Her accession to the Throne. Dannebrogs were flown by all battalions.

The photographs show a rather poignant moment on Sunday, when Her Majesty walked away from the room in the Christianborg Palace where She had signed the abdication documents. Her Majesty retains the title of ‘Majesty’ for life and will in future be referred to as ‘Queen Margrethe’; both the Colonel of The Regiment and President of The Queen’s Regiment Association, have written letters to Her Majesty thanking Her for Her service in support of the Regiment and wishing Her every happiness in the future.
