We want to thank the incredible team at The Veterans Charity for providing immediate support for one of our new residents who arrived at very short notice this week after spending two weeks living in his car.

Support was arranged within just 15 minutes of us reaching out, including food vouchers, bedding and even a takeaway for his first evening here.

Moments like this show the real impact of organisations coming together to support veterans when they need it most. It was also a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a huge difference during difficult times.

This month we welcomed two new move-ins to Entrain Space: a veteran who served 26 years the Royal Artillery in the British Army, and a Royal Air Force veteran who served for 9 years. We are delighted to be able to support them as they begin their journeys at Entrain Space.

Throughout the month we engaged with events and meetings with military welfare teams and partners including COBSEO, the Army Welfare Service, Career Transition Partnership, The Royal Tank Regiment and The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust; the RNBT joining our multi-agency partnership to deliver regular onsite support for our resident Royal Navy veterans. We also connected Liam from Waterloo Uncovered with our veterans.

Other highlights included the team attending the Army Benevolent Fund's Big Curry Lunch in Salisbury, and Kenny attending the Employer Day hosted by British Army Commander South West, Col Jim Bird, at Okehampton Camp during the annual Ten Tors challenge, which brought together organisations such as AtkinsRéalis while providing a great insight into the work of the Army Cadets UK and the Ten Tors event itself.

Finally, we welcomed baby Hudson to Entrain Space! 💙 Congratulations to our residents on their gorgeous new arrival.

We’re delighted to be selected as one of the local causes supported by Wilton Community Carnival.

Thank you to everyone who helps make this event such a success year after year, including volunteers from our own team and resident veterans.

Support like this helps us continue delivering housing, employment, and community support for veterans and service leavers as they transition to civilian life.

We're looking forward to being part of another fantastic Wilton Carnival this July! 🚀

Matthew and Kenny attended the COBSEO Housing Cluster Meeting in London yesterday, joining organisations from across the sector to strengthen collaboration around housing support for the community.

These meetings are an important opportunity to share knowledge, discuss challenges across the sector and ensure veterans continue to receive informed and effective support. It also allows Entrain Space to stay connected with national conversations around veteran housing provision and best practice.

Great to welcome Kev Bell from The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust for his first visit as part of our multi-agency partner network.

Some of our residents already know Kev from his previous work with the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, so it’s brilliant to see that trusted support continue and grow.

Kev will now be delivering regular on-site support for our Royal Navy and Royal Marines , further widening the support available at Entrain Space for those who’ve served.

We wanted to say a big 'well done" to Amy, a British Army and Entrain Space resident, on securing a new role as a Teaching Assistant at Pembroke Park Primary School & Nursery supporting children with special educational needs.

This is a brilliant next step and a reflection of her real commitment, patience, and care for working with young people who need additional support to thrive.

Wishing Amy every success in this new life chapter! 👏

At Entrain Space, supporting mental wellbeing isn’t just for one week of the year, it’s at the heart of everything we do. From a friendly chat over a brew to signposting the right support, we’re here for our residents and our veterans community every single day.

This week, be kind to yourself. Whatever you’re carrying, however big or small, your feelings are valid and you deserve support. Reach out, speak up, and remember you are never as alone as you feel.

Talk. Listen. Be kind. 💚

On Sunday, Kenny represented Entrain Space at an Employer Day and lunch at Okehampton Camp, hosted by Col Jim Bird, British Army Commander South West.

The day provided an opportunity to engage with employers including AtkinsRéalis and discuss the value that veterans, service leavers and cadets can bring to the workplace. The transferable skills developed through military and cadet experiences continue to be highly valuable
across many industries.

The visit was also on the last day of the Ten Tors and provided a real insight into the scale, planning and dedication behind one of the South West’s most recognised endurance events for young people. Seeing the level of teamwork, resilience, leadership and determination involved showed exactly why the challenge continues to have such a positive impact on thousands of participants each year. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the Army cadet force Army Cadets UK and the confidence and life skills it helps develop from a young age.

Thank you Col Jim, we’d love you to come and visit Entrain Space and see the work we are doing to help service leavers and transition successfully into civilian life.

We came together in our café space to mark with our resident veterans, taking time to reflect and remember what this day represents.

Today we remember Victory in Europe Day, still honouring the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served, fought, and lived through one of history’s defining moments. Their courage shaped the peace we cherish today, and their legacy continues to inspire us all.
