Our collection is on tour!

We're delighted to share that 'Still Life' by Cliff Rowe, a significant work from our collection, is currently on loan to the Towner Eastbourne in their new exhibition, 'Comrades in Art: Artists Against Fascism'!

in 1933 Rowe was one of the founding members of the Artists' International Association (AIA). The group was established to unify artists against fascism and war. Two of their most significant exhibitions of the 1930s were 'The Social Scene', and 'Artists Against Fascism and War.'

Towner Eastbourne's 'Comrades in Art' is the most comprehensive exhibition on the anti-fascist Artists International Association ever staged and the first in over 40 years to focus on the AIA as a central theme! The exhibition will run until the 18th October 2026 - Don't miss it if you're in Eastbourne!

Join us for Life Drawing Late next Wednesday! 🎶

This month we'll be experimenting with music, and how it can impact one’s mood and drawings! We'll be welcoming back life model Adam Boanas who is also a professional musician. He’ll be choosing the playlist for tonight’s session, as well as striking poses with instruments to inspire us! 🎻

As always the session will be led by artist and illustrator Paul Pickford and all materials will be provided!

'The mining lamp is a powerful image of hope – a light in the darkness – offering guidance, warmth, and reassurance when things feel at their lowest.'

This piece from our collection was chosen for our Your Salford 100 exhibition by Talk About It Mate

Talk About It Mate (TAIM) focuses on men’s mental health and provides a safe space for men to connect and talk. They have recently embarked on using art as a therapy with a local artist and are keen to use creativity to explore mental health.
