The World of Glass is an award winning Visitor Centre in the heart of St Helens, Merseyside. Glass blowing demonstrations, film show, Museum Collections telling the story of glass and the Town of St Helens. Small grants for local artists, community groups and businesses for The International Festival of Glass 2026!

Following a £131K award from the National Heritage Lottery Fund, The World of Glass is developing plans for a new St Helens Heritage Museum — celebrating our town, our people and our world-famous glass industry.

As part of this summer’s International Festival of Glass with The Glass Art Society, we’re offering small grants to local artists, community groups and businesses to help create festival activities and events this August.

We’re looking for creative ideas that bring people together, celebrate local heritage and help make St Helens shine during the festival weekend.

Join us on Saturday 6th June for St Helens Pride Festival!

We’ll have plenty of amazing food trucks, from JJ’s Ices to Pixies Caribbean Food, T&I Planet Pizza, as well as Cottoms pies. There will also be live music and performances, family-friendly activities, and free glass-blowing demonstrations!

Come and celebrate Pride with us between 12pm and 4pm. We promise there’ll be plenty of colour, joy celebrating Pride in our community
