I want to bring to your attention the NW launch of the BBC “ Make it Digital” traineeship programme on Thursday 2nd July between 10:30am – 1pm.

Up to 5,000 young unemployed people will be offered BBC Traineeships to help them boost their digital skills and help them get a foot on the jobs ladder.

Two St.Helens Veterans are doing a Sponsored Walk from the East to the West coast of Northern England to raise money for St.Helens Armed Forces Veterans recovering from Alcohol and Drug Addiction. On June 17th, The Rhys Jones Memorial Charity Centre has organised a charity day at HMP Liverpool, where Prison Officers and Prisoners are teaming up to raise money for the centre. One money raising idea is to raffle donated goods. They have also contacted the local radio station Radio City, asking if they can raffle the items with their help.
