Last Saturday, StAR was very proud to take part in a Refugee Week event for local refugees and asylum seekers, and to work alongside St Albans Cathedral, , , Amnesty International UK, Multicultural Services CIC, St Alban and St Stephen Catholic Church, St Albans District Council, the Refugee Council.

Individuals and families were able to enjoy delicious food, games, music, bubbles, henna, and craft activities. It was great to meet old friends and new and to see everyone relaxing together in the beautiful surroundings of St Albans Cathedral in the sunshine.

Thank you to everyone involved in giving those seeking sanctuary such a memorable day.

StAR trustees, Farhat and Liz L were very pleased to be invited to FACE's (Faith and Culture Enterprise) interfaith gathering, Unity in Diversity.
It was a very rewarding and thought-provoking evening sharing thoughts and ideas, and hearing first-hand experiences of local refugees who are welcomed into our city of sanctuary.
