I had never read any books by Peter Robinson, and so I picked that one from the shelf. Well, it turned out to be a very good read. Fans of crime fiction, this is neither hard boiled nor soft boiled, just in the middle. Discover DCI Banks, fond of wine and good music, and a storyline that takes you to Moldovia and Bulgaria then back to Yorkshire.
A page turner!

And the winner of the International Booker Prize (books translated into English) was Taiwan Travelogue by Yang Shuang-zi,
Taiwan Travelogue is the first book translated from Mandarin Chinese to win the International Booker Prize. The novel, which takes the form of a fictional translation of a rediscovered Japanese travel memoir, explores history, power, class, colonialism and love through the lens of two women’s culinary tour across Japan-controlled Taiwan in the 1930s.
