👏Congratulations to the 72 children who have already completed the Cornwall Reading Challenge 2026 at St Agnes Library!

🧭The Challenge ends THIS SATURDAY (12th September) at 1pm, so if your child is one of the other 120 children who signed up as an 'Extraordinary Explorer' but have not yet completed, please do pop in and update us with your progress.

✅ We're open today (Monday), Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday itself! Don't miss out on your prizes!

An M&S dark navy, zip-up hoodie, age 8-9 years was left in the library on Wednesday 2nd September. Please collect it if it is yours. We hold items for 1 month, after which they are donated or disposed of.

St.Agnes Parish Council are hiring an Administration and Finance Assistant with Planning Support

This is a permanent position of 30 hours per week.
£15.06 - £16.08 per hour.

Closing date/time for applications - 5pm on Wednesday 30th September 2026

Interviews to be held on - Tuesday 27th October 2026

It's straight into Rhymetime when we do open at 2pm. Join us for this FREE session where we'll enjoy a picture book followed by rhymes and songs. 🪇

🧭 The Cornwall Reading Challenge ends on Saturday 12th September. What stage are your children at?

There are some great incentives along the way, to keep children reading/engaged with Cornwall Libraries over the holidays.

2 books/activities - an Extraordinary Explorers wristband

4 books/activities - a small compass or magnifying glass

6 books/activities - an Extraordinary Explorers medal/keyring and a code for a FREE Treasure Trail (worth £10.99)

💦 There are also colouring or puzzle sheets at each stage, a voucher for a FREE swim at registration!

If your children have signed up, please pop in and update us with their progress.

✅ We reopen from 2pm - 5pm tomorrow (Tuesday 1st September) and look forward to welcoming you back then!

🖍️ If you've got a 'What Carnival means to me' activity pack, please return it via the library letterbox by the END OF TODAY! We'd recommend protecting it in something like an old envelope.

✏️All entries will be gathered together for judging tomorrow (Tuesday). Don't worry if you haven't completed the whole pack, any drawings or illustrations you've done will be great!

Last chance to win Elsie the toy elephant and/or enter the St Agnes Carnival Activity pack competition!

🐘 1pm TODAY is your last chance to enter our draw to win Elsie. 50p cash only please. The proceeds go to the Friends of the Library group, to be used for events or resources for our wonderful library.

🖍️TODAY is also your last chance to buy a Carnival Activity pack. £1 cash only please. This money will be split between the St Agnes Carnival Committee and the Library. Show us what the village event means to you with colourful illustrations.
Return your pack via our postbox by the end of Bank Holiday Monday 31st August 2026. We'd recommend placing it inside an old envelope. Even if you've only done a couple of drawings, please return your pack!
