We are very excited to announce that from Monday 3rd August, we will be starting our very own Performing Arts Club!

This will be a fun social club, running every Monday evening from 6pm – 8pm at New Leaf, Rugeley.

Everyone over the age of 16 is welcome to come along and get creative! Whether you enjoy script writing, acting, singing, dancing, playing instruments, making props, helping backstage, or simply being part of something fun, if you're confident or nervous, there will be something for everyone.

Together, we will be working towards creating some fantastic performances, starting with our own Christmas Carol Concert in November. 🎶

Please note: this is a social club rather than a staffed day service session. If you require support, a carer, family member, or loved one will need to stay with you during the session.

Each session will cost £4 to attend for those taking part, and booking in advance is essential!

We can’t wait to see this new branch of New Leaf grow!

We are so excited to share that Staffordshire County Council have awarded New Leaf a grant as part of their Improving Green Spaces Programme, to spend on improving our garden space, and we’d love some help to bring your ideas to life!

We’re inviting service users, families, friends, and supporters to help us plan a new outdoor space for New Leaf. You can download our garden planning sheet here: https://canva.link/1f4hvnd395x8nx7 or create your own design from scratch.

Your design can be drawn, painted, made digitally, or created in any way you like; no gardening experience needed, just creativity and imagination!

Entries will be judged on Friday 19th June.

We may choose one winning design, or use ideas from several entries to help create the final garden plan.

Your ideas could help bring our garden to life; we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Last week on walking group we were covered in sun cream, stopping for water breaks every 10 minutes, enjoying ice creams, feeding the ducks, and watering the garden when we got back! ☀️🍦💦

This week couldn’t have been more different! 🌧️ We squeezed in a quick walk around the heritage trail between the showers, wrapped up snugly in our raincoats!

Back at New Leaf, we put our new air fryer straight to work making sausage rolls 😋 They were so tasty, some even said they were better than Greggs… 😉 Thank you again to everyone who came and supported our fun day and helped us to get the air fryer!

Wild how much the British weather can change in a week, but whatever the forecast, we will always find a way to have fun and make the most of the day. 💚

We’ve been so busy over the last week that our social media has taken a bit of a back seat!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our open day. We’re so pleased to share that we raised £160, which will be going towards an air fryer for New Leaf. This means we’ll be able to offer hot options during our cooking sessions!

We’ll be testing it out in our cooking group on Wednesday with Harry’s brilliant suggestion of sausage rolls!
